We live near this wonderful landmark – The St Johns Bridge. It is a feat of wonder and physical poetry. It stands 400 feet in the air. And the grace of the towers is just a marvel. It makes living next to it a pure joy. I absolutely love being so close. Under this amazing and beautiful piece of art deco construction is a just as amazing park. It is almost the center of our community. There are concerts in the park and festivals. There are weddings and yoga classes all the time. And that is just the summer. Now winters on the Pacific Northwest between the coastal range and the Cascades are kind of a crap-shoot. It is guaranteed to rain and often. The skies are grey and full most of the time. And the puddles are extraordinary. You can forget to look up for months on end. But sometimes if the weather plays its cards right, it snows. This particularly magical day came just after Christmas and the snow had teased us for days. Snow, then immediately melt. Repeat and repeat. Exciting times, w
