Adun
Adun is a savory snack of Yoruba origin; the snack is made from a combination of roasted corn flour, palm oil, and spices. A variation of this snack contains fried red cowpeas. Adun is sold primarily as a street snack and often it’s present at festive functions like naming ceremonies and traditional marriages Ingredients: 1 cup roasted cornflour ¼ cup palm oil 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon chili powder Directions: In a large bowl combine all the ingredients. Using your fingers, thoroughly combine and knead the mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated. Let the mixture rest at room temperature for 2-3 hours. Mold into the desired shape and serve. Fun Fact: Aadun actually translates to “sweetness” but the snack is completely savory.
