Typically ‘a guy in the sky’ shot is frowned upon in snowboarding. It’s important to always show a takeoff and landing to give the snowboarding perspective. In this case it’s all about giving the photograph perspective and by breaking the rules and shooting directly up with a fisheye lens I was able to get this unique shot of Scotty Vine back flipping through the aspens in Colorado.
