I had no intention to get the moon rise in this photo. I merely drove up to one of my favorite vantage points of Mt. Hood to capture the mountain with the least amount of snow in all my 10 years of living in Oregon. The next day the first snowfall of autumn would layer the mountain, but this moment was Mt. Hood at its barest, Mt. Hood at low tide.
