Silence

I think most Pacific Northwesterners who recognize this spot feel some sort of nostalgia when they look at this photo. I and most of my friends have turned down the music in the car and held our breath heading up to the mountain on a big powder day. Silent rock has a place in every Mt. Hood local’s heart. I shot this after Oregon hadn’t received any rain for over 50 days and parts of Oregon and Washington had started to catch on fire bringing a thick layer of smoke over our region.
