This block print hotmat is  made by Ram Shakhar in Nepal. The fleur-de-lis design was chosen to represent Louisville’s cultural and historical heritage. Assorted designs and colors. A Just Creations Exclusive. Meet the Artisans Ram Shekhar hand-carves each wood block and stamps the designs on a variety of products to help preserve the ancient Nepalese art of woodblock printing. After his home was badly damaged in the 2015 earthquake, he and his family relocated to a tent, but were forced out by flood waters a few months later. With the help of Fair Trade partners, Ram is able to rent a safe place to work and earn an income, while he waits for government assistance to rebuild his home.
