This is a rare opportunity to taste the wonders of a gorgeously-cellared White Burgundy from an outstanding vintage! 2015 Éleveur Marsannay Blanc is a 100% single-vineyard Chardonnay stunner, from a vintage lauded as one of the best of the century so far (Wine Spectator praised it with a 95!). The grapes hail from a perfectly-placed southeast-facing, mid-slope plot in what locals call the "Golden Gate of the Côte de Nuits." Well-draining calcareous clay soils, composed of the fossilized remains of ancient sea creatures, possess the exact mineral make-up for the vines to develop ridiculously healthy rootstocks. After a warm and beautifully clear summer where the grapes flowered, set, and ripened under ideal conditions, a light rainfall in August provided just the right amount of water the vines desired.
