A Good Bed

A customer requested this bed. The idea was to take the materials used in the Early Century Bed, the 1x2 silver tube and the 1" thick walnut boards, and apply them to a normal headboard - footboard bed frame configuration. It's good to be reminded that the simplest answers are often the best ones. The size shown here is an Eastern King. It's my opinion that the bed looks best with use of a box spring. I can build for use without. The look is slightly altered. Either I raise up the side rails creating more air under the bed or the sleeping level is lowered. I usually build so that the mattress is flush with the footboard top. The bottom rail of the headboard is aligned with your mattress top.  Included are side rails and center supports which have feet to distribute weight. Very sturdy.  Available in all bed sizes.
