Kraftig Canopy Bed with Walnut

This is my Mahler symphony, my Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak. I don't think I can make a more substantial bed without passing some structural engineering courses. The frame is 2" x 3" steel tube that has been cleaned and finished with a durable wax. 1 inch thick walnut boards are planed and sanded smooth and placed into the head and footboard design fields.The size you see here is an Eastern King. Headboard Height: 55"Footboard Height: 29"Rails from Ground: 7"Canopy Height: 80"You may alter any of these dimensions. I can make the uprights remove if you need to do so for move in purposes. The 2 side canopy pieces attach with a bolt. You also get 2 side rails and 2 cross supports. Sturdy isn't a strong enough word. Gibraltar. All bed sizes available.
