Kraftig Platform Bed with Rough Walnut Headboard

A frame is built of 3x2 inch steel. The headboard is made of rough* walnut that have been planed, sanded and sealed with an eco friendly product called OSMO. *Rough Walnut-is a type or grade of walnut. It means that there are knots and other beautiful natural tree things in the wood. It's smooth to the touch. The steel frame is tube and coated with a durable wax. For this version the Headboard is 40" high and the rails are 8" off the ground. The tube is 2" thick so there is 6" clearance below. You may alter these is you wish. I also would like to know your mattress thickness so that the top lines up with the bottom of the headboard leaving no gap. If you ask for a substantially taller headboard resulting in more wood the price may rise slightly. The slats that the mattress rests upon are 1" thick pine.
