Proverbs 31:25

"She is clothed in strength and dignity, she can laugh at the days to come." Proverbs 31:25   This lap quilt (44"x60") is a reflection on how strength is both a physical attribute as well as a mental/emotional/spiritual attribute. The bold colors and squares at the top represent this physical strength. The light colors that are formless and spontaneous in the lower part of the quilt symbolize the mind and spiritual side of strength.  The Proverbs 31 woman is "clothed" in strength and dignity. The top quilting blends both the geometric lines of the squares as well as the waves in both the top and bottom half. They are clothing each other in a perfect balance. I also incorporated both machine top quilting as well as hand quilting to further this point.  The overall color scheme is very feminine as well as the floral backing fabric signifies that it is a feminine strength and not a masculine strength. The colors are very bright and cheerful expressing how she is joyful in the days to come
