Summer’s Night

The "Summer's Night" quilt reminds me of the long, slow sunny days. This quilt uses lots of fun, neutral fabrics. I used many soft shades of yellows, peaches, creams, and tans. For the top quilting, I machine-stitched straight lines so as not to take away from the busyness of the prints and the stars. I love top quilting that brings a sense of peace to the overall quilt and doesn't detract from the piecing. Inside is a warm, yet lightweight 80% cotton/20% polyester batting to not overheat in spring or summertime.  It has a double binding and is machine top quilted for added strength and durability.  This quilt measures 99"x100" so it can fit both a queen bed with 20" of drape along the sides or a king bed with 10" of drape along the sides.
