*Arizona Poppies 36x48 inches

Poppies everywhere! This large scale painting was super fun to paint. I worked on it for a long time trying to get the colors right. In order to make the poppies really stand out, I had to neutralize the background colors a lot. I like to paint on large canvases because I can really get into the environment—almost literally!  Oil on Premier Cotton Stretched Canvas.Back Stapled.
