Compaction is not as tight as 5/8". Uses: This product absorbs and holds moisture well. Great for softer areas where smaller material may disappear into the muck or mud. Used as a road base.  Can be used as a pavement sub-base. Typically used for commercial driveways. Parking spaces for big trucks and RV's. Also used under downspouts and in areas with water runoff. Walkways because it will compact for a level surface. Typical Installation:  2-3" of product for base layer then top with 1" of 1 1/4" Clean.
