TIE GUAN YIN JADE
DESCRIPTION Tie Guan Yin Jade is a type of Oolong tea that is also known as Tie Guan Yin light roast or green style Tie Guan Yin. This tea is named after the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, Guan Yin, and is one of the most famous teas in China. It is often called the Iron Goddess of Mercy tea. Tie Guan Yin Jade is produced by using a special cultivar of tea plant that is grown in the Anxi region of Fujian province in China. The tea leaves are hand-picked, then withered and oxidized for a shorter period of time than other Oolongs, resulting in a light greenish-yellow color. The leaves are then roasted at a low temperature, giving the tea a light, floral and nutty flavor with a refreshing and smooth finish.
