YERBA MATE
DESCRIPTION Yerba mate is a type of tea commonly consumed in South America, particularly in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. It is made from the leaves of the yerba mate plant, which is a species of holly that is native to the region. Yerba mate is known for its unique flavor, which is often described as earthy, herbaceous, and slightly bitter. It contains caffeine, theobromine, and other stimulants, which make it a popular alternative to coffee. Yerba mate is traditionally consumed from a gourd with a metal straw called a bombilla, and is often shared among friends and family. It is also commonly brewed as a tea and enjoyed hot or cold. Our yerba mate is unsmoked and has as much caffeine as green tea. Yerba mate is known to help with increased alertness and concentration, enhancing energy and physical performance.
