Kemtec™ DNA Model with Paint Classroom Kit

This is a kit designed to help students build a model of DNA using six different molecular pieces. The model is made up of 16 nucleotide pairs of DNA, with eight pairs of AT and eight pairs of GC. Each of the molecular pieces is made up of single plastic units that represent the base pairs, sugar, and phosphate units of DNA. These molecular pieces snap together using a pop-it bead mechanism, making it easy for students to assemble and disassemble the model like a puzzle. The model is unpainted, allowing students to paint individual molecules either before or after assembly. This kit provides a fun and engaging way for students to learn about the structure and function of DNA. Additionally, a laboratory exercise and problem sets are included, which allow students to gain a better understanding of the double helical structure and function of DNA. The kit includes 144 plastic DNA building pieces, a rod, spacers, and a wooden base, making it ideal for six students to work on the building and painting project together. The target grades for this kit are 7-14.
