They were some of the best memories of my surfing life. So when Slightly Stoopid asked me to create art that they can use for their 2024 Hawaii tour posters, the idea for this painting came easily to me. When I sketched out the concept for this painting, I imagined a clean, basic design of a giant wave (my favorite), a small surfer, and a grass hut that everyone dreams of escaping to. I added the Hawaiian elements of flowers in the water and a volcano popping off into the sunset.I
