Abelia x grandiflora 'Hopleys' ~ Miss Lemon™ Abelia

Miss Lemon Abelia is a compact mounding semi-evergreen shrub with brightly variegated leave that emerge with green centers and bright yellow margins that mature to ivory and takes on a coppery hue in fall.  Showy clusters of small, fragrant pink flowers bloom on new wood in summer.  Flowers best in full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soils.  Also sold under the trade name Twist of Lime.  Type:  Shrub Origins: A. chinensis and A. uniflora Hybrid Height:  2’ - 3’ Spread:  3’ - 4' Spacing:  4’ USDA Hardiness Zone:  6 - 9 Culture:  Full Sun, Part Sun Bloom Color:  Pink Season of Interest:  Summer, Year-Round MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Water regularly.  Dieback may occur if temperatures drop below 10 degrees.  Prune as needed in winter or spring.
