Agar-agar is a natural vegetable gelatin counterpart. Sweetener, flavouring, colouring, or fruit can be added and the liquid can be poured into molds to be served as desserts, such as a jelly layer in a cake. 1. Add 6 cups (48 oz) water into a saucepan. Cook in medium high heat. Bring to a full boil. 2. Immediately pour contents of packet into the saucepan. Dissolve completely. 3. Reduce heat and simmer stirring for 1 minute. 4. Immediately pour mixture into shallow molds, and let cool. 5. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours. Alternative Directions for Almond Tofu: 1. Add contents of packet together with 4 oz sugar and 6 cups water into a large saucepan over medium high heat, stirring constantly ntil mixture comes to a full boil. 2. Remove from heat, add 3 cups whole milk and 2 teaspoons of almond flavor extract. 3. Mix well and pour slowly into shallow pans. 4. Chill until firm. INGREDIENTS: Sugar, Agar Agar.
