Eucalyptol is another name for 1,8-cineole, however, eucalyptol does sound like it comes from eucalyptus, which has a long history of use in folk medicine for respiratory complaints. This monoterpene  is the primary chemical constituent of Eucalyptus essential oil. It is also found in Melaleuca, Basil, Rosemary, Sage, and Peppermint essential oils.
