Seagrass Cuff

10% of profits from this piece will be donated to the Environmental Defense Fund. To make this original cuff, I had wire milled to different dimensions. I then layered it on a flat piece of sterling silver and fused the layers together. When I was happy with the resulting pattern, I molded the bracelet. The cuff is hand finished and oxidized to bring out the textures. I can almost feel the breeze running through the grasses.Seagrass meadows are one of the most productive and multi-functioned ecosystems on the planet. They generate enormous amounts of oxygen and hold approximately 15% of the carbon stored in the ocean— even though they make up only 0.1% of the ocean floor.
