Arabica Coffee Plant

Always wanted to grow your own coffee beans? Well now you can! The Coffee Plant (Coffea arabica) grows well indoors and produces coffee beans. The Arabian coffee plant native to Ethiopia, can grow up to 15ft tall, however you can prune it at the size that you prefer. It will flower in the spring with small white flowers and then bear half-inch berries that gradually darken from green to blackish pods. Each of these fruits contains two seeds, which eventually become the coffee beans you use to brew your coffee. This plant requires a bit of patience as it will typically take a few years before your plant produces flowers and subsequent fruits, the good news is that this plant can live up to 50 years! Light: Bright indirect light. Or slowly introduce soft morning direct light. They do not thrive in direct sunlight and will burn if exposed to harsh direct sunlight. Temperature: 60-80F. Higher temperatures can accelerate growth, but higher temperatures are not ideal for growing plants for
