The Sisters

I had been working on some version of this piece for well over a year. There had been other iterations, but they never felt quite right to me... and so, this idea sat in the back of my brain, waiting. One night, just before the new year began, I couldn’t sleep. I tossed and turned, drifting in and out. In that lucid dreamy state, the answers came to me like lightning in a storm. I knew how to complete the piece and I knew it’s title: “The Sisters”. I slept well and in the morning I started sketching.
