Summary: This 1979 Gibson Les Paul 25/50 Anniversary, introduced in 1978, was created to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Les Paul Model and 50 years of Les Paul being in show-business. There were just over 3,400 examples made and shipped through late 1979, and features a 5 piece maple neck, gold and chrome hardware, coil tap mini switch, and most importantly: the 25/50 inlay on the headstock, all of which combine to give this Les Paul model its own identity.    Body: Mahogany in Tobacco Sunburst finish.
