Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi have this species listed as their official state reptile. This skin is black gloss only. Each skin dimension is different. Average sizes are: 2-3 oz (around .8 to 1.2 mm thick), 12" to 15" wide, and 5 feet to 5.5 feet long.
