This vintage Dogon granary door from Mali features a central crocodile carved in relief, flanked by standing figures and framed with bold edges. Measuring 46" to 50" in height with hinges, 26.5" wide, and 3.5" deep, it reflects traditional Dogon artistry. The human figures represent the Nommo, primordial ancestors credited with introducing farming and blacksmithing. Despite minor wear from age and use, the door remains in overall good condition.
