Quinta de Cabriz Colheita Seleccionada Tinto 2020 (Dao, Portugal)

Quinta de Cabriz is located in the village of Carregal do Sal between the two main rivers that cross the Dão region, the Mondego and the Dão. The property contains a beautiful restored manor house and chapel dating back to the 17th century!  A blend of 30% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinto Roriz (aka Tempranillo), and 40% Alfrocheiro, this wine has ample notes of strawberries, blackberries, and plums with a burst of black pepper and a hint of savory herbs. Aging in French oak gives the wine excellent structure and tannin, so give this bottle about 45 minutes to an hour of air to bring out the bright fruit and elegant finish.
