Corte Gardoni 'Greoto' Custoza Bianco 2023 (Veneto, Italy)
Descended from generations of winegrowers dating back to the 1600s, who sadly lost most of their estate when phylloxera hit, Gianni Piccoli has always had the heart of a winemaker. It’s no surprise then that in 1971 he jumped at the chance to purchase his own vineyards in Valeggio. After almost a decade of selling his grapes to cooperatives, in 1980 he broke those ties and began crafting his own wine. A blend of local Venetian varietals, the ‘Greoto’ is bright and fresh but not bracing. A touch of honey and ripe peach offer a pleasant weight and texture to an otherwise crisp and zesty palate with notes of zippy citrus and stony minerality. Truly a white wine for all seasons! 40% Garganega, 25% Trebbiano, 10% Trebbianello, 10% Cortese, 15% Other Food Ideas: Fish tacos al pastor, persimmon & goat cheese salad, crispy artichoke pasta, hamachi crudo, roasted chicken with fish sauce butter ABV: 12%
