Hacienda Lopez de Haro Rioja Crianza 2021 (Rioja, Spain)

Hacienda Lopez de Haro is located in the historic town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra,“The Heart of Rioja.” The town earned this nickname due to its exceptional location in the Rioja region, where the Toloño mountain range shelters it from the cold winds of the Cantabrian Sea and the river Ebro to the south provides much needed moisture to the soil. There couldn’t be a more perfect climate for the Tempranillo grape, Rioja’s shining star. This blend is mostly Tempranillo, with some Garnacha and Graciano in the mix as well. Notes of dark fruit and brambly berries meet a hint of sage leaf, ample spice, and a touch of leather. Seeing 18 months in oak barrels and then 2-3 years of additional aging, the midweight tannins melt into a smooth and easy drinking finish.
