By Steve Hodel. Hodel, a former LAPD homicide dick, had a bestseller with this book asserting that Hodel's father murdered Elizabeth Short. Crackpottery, sure, but a pretty good read... ...and this first-edition hardcover is a good reading copy, despite a frumpy jacket presentation. Said jacket has some sticker ghosts, some staining, a split at the bottom right of the front and another one along the back. A bit of writing/stamps to the flyleaf. But all other pages are crisp, clean, and tight.
