Blue Blood

By Edward Conlon. "The most stunning memoir ever written about the cop world," per Joseph Wambaugh, and it IS very good. Conlon, a Harvard grad in a family of cops, talks about life in and of the NYPD. The hardcover has no jacket, and there's some water staining to the back board, which is somewhat warped -- but the pages are clean and it's perfectly readable.
