I was writing in my journal last night, having just finished this illustration, and I was thinking about how I used to need to keep myself constantly busy, constantly moving. If I stopped jumping from a task into another task, working, working, working until I quite literally fell asleep from exhaustion, then I would have to be present in my life and my reality, and that was something I didn't think I could survive. And now? Life passes in these kinds of beautiful stretches. There is work, certainly, but there is so much more space and capacity for the moment, for the lingering, for time. A raindrop on a petal in the garden, knowing there will be blossoms and leaves tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. Building a relationship with time has gifted me a relationship with the now.."The moment was all.
