Wall Box Belsnickel Santa Greens Neat
Merry Christmas! Mr. Santa came all the way from the North Pole to make your acquaintance and enjoys residing in a primitive wall box fashioned from a pelt stretcher. He is in his element surrounded by snowy greens mimicking a forest setting where he was able to pick out a tree he is holding. An old pelt stretcher exhibiting carved form was used to construct the back of the box while other old “character wood” was chosen to make up the sides and bottom. The color resembles a dark walnut enhanced with plenty of exciting dark striations throughout. There is a piece of wood missing from the bottom near the edge as referenced in the image with the arrow along with a scuff mark located on the inside as shown. This piece has the appearance of original form, color and character. Mr. Santa is a contemporary rendition of the German Belsnickel, made by “Ragon House”.
