Sodium chloride injection, USP, is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution for replenishing fluid and electrolytes in single-dose intravenous containers. It is free from antimicrobial agents. 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP contains 9 g/L Sodium Chloride, USP (NaCl) with an osmolarity of 308 mOsmol/L (calc). Each liter contains 154 mEq/L of sodium and 154 mEq/L of chloride.
