SODIUM CHLORIDE 0.9% IV Bag ESPANOL ABAJO DESCRIPTION: The Baxter Viaflex IV Solutions 500mL are designed for intravenous administration. They are available in three formulations: sodium chloride (0.9%), dextrose 5% in water (D5W), and lactated ringers (LR). Sodium Chloride, USP: A sterile, non-pyrogenic solution for fluid and electrolyte replenishment in single-dose containers. This solution contains no antimicrobial agents. COMPOSITION: 0.9% Sodium Chloride USP contains 9 g/L Sodium Chloride (NaCl) with an osmolarity of 308 mOsmol/L (calculated). It provides 154 mEq/L sodium and 154 mEq/L chloride. CONTAINER: The VIAFLEX plastic container is made from specially formulated polyvinyl chloride (PL 146 Plastic). Water permeation inside the container into the overwrap is minimal and does not significantly affect the solution.
