Cellular & Immune Health Agarikon is a very bitter and acrid mushroom has also been called the quinine conk, thought to contain the potent compound quinine. While it likely does not contain quinine, there is a longstanding traditional use of this fungus in various different applications. Dioscorides in the 1st Century AD recommended this mushroom for treatment of consumption. This mushroom produces a thick resinous extract. Thick precipitate is to be expected in this tincture. All mushrooms are ethically wild-harvested or cultivated in North America. All Agarikon specimens are ground fallen fruit bodies, ethically harvested in Pacific Northwest forests. We highly discourage picking Agarikon from it's host trees.
