Rigid Heddle Weavers - Let's Weave Log Cabin! | May 2, 2026
This is a 1 session in person workshop. DATES/TIMES Saturday May 2, 2026; 12 - 4pm COST $125 (bring your own loom); $145 (with loom rental) LEVEL Students should have basic experience on a rigid heddle loom. See our Rigid Heddle Weaving for Beginners class. MATERIALS (not included) Students should choose two contrasting colors (think light/dark) for warp. They may use the same 2 colors for weft or work with another pair of contrasting colors in their weft. For a finished runner that is 12" wide and 45" long, students will need the following materials in the appropriate size for their heddle: Approximately 175 yards each of 2 highly contrasting colors (think dark versus light) in a worsted weight. Your yarn should be suitable for warp thread (strong, plied, and smooth). Cottons, linens, wools, or blends will work. If your heddle is finer than 8 dents per inch, you will need a finer yarn and therefore more yardage. More info on materials will be available from the instructor. DETAIL
