1940s Novelty Print Day Dress | M-M/L
1940s vintage approx. size medium-medium/large shoulders: 17” best: 42” waist: 30” hips: 42” bodice length: 17 ½” skirt length: 29” cold rayon in robin's egg blue with ink-drawing style print of wells, buckets, bonnets, and flowers (some of whom appear to be dancing) with lots of scrolling, looping accents. blouson bodice with ¾ length bishop sleeves and neck ties/bow. shirred waist detail, and flattering draped/gathered skirt front. closure: metal side zipper. label: none present condition: good. structurally sturdy, very wearable. Notable fade across shoulders and sleeve tops, and down the skirt sides, more so on the left side. Clearly visible in photos. Some splotchy watermarks on right shoulder. I have not wet cleaned this, due to concerns over dye run, and opted not to dry clean as dry cleaning won’t correct the fade, which is the major issue. It has no odor or major soiling/ staining, but a little dinge to waist and inner neckline, one faint dime sized yellowish spot on skirt. we
