Into The Archives: Immersive Photobook is a bold reimagining of the traditional photobook, celebrating Black art and culture through immersive storytelling. Captured across Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar, the project merges photography, documentary footage, and ambient sound design to create a dynamic visual and auditory experience. Directed by Damien McDuffie, with contributions from producer and editor Theo Schear, director of photography Amir Aziz, and location sound mixer Michael Bobino, each page invites readers to step into the story and feel the pulse of global Black creativity. Enhanced with F&M Publishing’s immersive AR integration, the experience brings every moment to life beyond the page.
