The shape is a subtle reference to the kokeshi doll, many of which are manufactured in the same region as the iron casting studio. Rust-resistant black urushi (lacquer coating) makes this is a gift that will last a lifetime. Designed by Nobuho Miya, a third generation master of Nanbu Tekki, or traditional Japanese ironworking.
