Château de Beru Chablis 2016

Although Château de Beru generally focuses on single-vineyard Chablis, a devastating frost in 2016 decimated the estate's crop, leaving the Beru family with only enough grapes from all the vineyard sites to make a blend. Even with pooling all of the available fruit into one cuvée, only 360 cases were made of this wine: it's of higher caliber than the village designation might suggest. This rare wine is fine example a producer making beautiful work despite the ravages of climate change and unpredictable weather. Worth the splurge.
