The Junior Ranger pledge is recited by kids around the country; each taking an oath of their own to protect parks, continue to learn about parks, and share their own park story with friends & family. Interested kids of all ages complete a series of activities during a park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger badge. Badges and pencils are funded through the Lewis & Clark National Park Association, a 501c3 nonprofit organization supporting the park since 1963. We source our badges from a small Idaho business using reclaimed wood and a handmade sawmill.
