Kitchen Press

There are so many things that need pressing in the kitchen! Let's start with tortillas. In the shop, we use all kinds of presses including a good old arbor-press. That tool is what inspired us to make this. Use it to press tortillas, crush garlic, and any other general smooshing. We're offering our kitchen press in a number of ways: buy our DIY kit and fit it to a store-bought press; Or, order our deluxe version with a hand-made wooden tripod base and custom paint job. The DIY kit includes a set of 6 inch wide steel tortilla press platens, a wooden board, a table clamp, and hardware. You'll need to supply a 1-ton arbor press with a 1" square rack shaft, like this inexpensive one sold by Harbor Freight. The press is not included with the kit. The deluxe press includes a 1-ton press, a wooden tripod stand, an oil-seasoned tortilla platen set, and all the hardware needed to attach parts together. Platens and tripod base are made in the USA.
