Malted Four Grain Bourbon Single Barrel #599 "Peanut Brittle"

This Single Barrel Bourbon is our first foray into releasing a high proof whiskey featuring malted versions of our core four grains - 100% non-GMO corn, winter rye, winter wheat and two-row barley all slow-grown on the Frey Farm. Both of these Malted Four Grain Bourbon expressions use the same mash bill as our award-winning flagship four grain Straight Bourbon. The difference is that each of these grains, instead of only the barley, are malted on-site utilizing Colby's custom-made malt drum. Inspired by his fascination with the malting process, Colby malts the grains in a custom-made steep tank and germination/kilning drum before they’re milled and distilled right here at the Ranch.Age: 8 Years, 6 Months Proof: 131.06 Tasting Notes: Warm and savory on the nose with an aroma of peanut brittle. The palate is reminiscent of Smartees candy while the finish coats your throat with brown sugar & Cracker Jacks.
