We’ll update you on your order status and estimated delivery once the pods are en route. What Is Cacao? Cacao, also known as Food of The Gods, is a special fruit popularly known for making chocolate. The seeds found in Cacao pods can be used to make chocolate or can simply be consumed as is. The seeds  taste similar to unsweetened cacao nibs or the darkest chocolate you’ve consumed. The flesh surrounding the seeds has a sweet and tart flavor profile with slightly acidic hints. Scientific Name: Theobroma Cacao  Also Known As: Food of the Gods  When/ How to Eat: Cacao pods have a hard-outer shell, they can be consumed by cutting into the shell with a serrated knife. You can determine if the pod is ripe by scratching the husk of the pod, if it is yellow or white then it’s perfect for enjoying!
