How did we come up with the name? A "dirk" was a smaller knife used during the American Revolution which quickly became a popular choice for hand-to-hand encounters. They were typically carried in leather sheaths, often worn in the front center with the point dangling between the wearer's legs. These sheaths frequently had a pocket for a smaller utility knife, and some even included compartments for a fork.  Based on this history, our Dirk Sheath wraps around virtually any KYDEX® sheath for knives with up to 5" blades and lower by sandwiching your existing KYDEX® sheath between two panels of laser-cut HANK rubberized Kevlar material for extra grip, and uses shock cord to cinch it tight for a snug fit.  You
