It's heavy clip point blade, intended for rugged use started as a piece of high carbon 3/16" thick steel.Overall length is 8 7/8" with a 4 5/8" x 1 1/2" deep blade. The handle is approximately 4 1/4" long. The slight curve to the blade makes this an outstanding skinning knife for hunters. This knife has a steel bolster that is contoured into the handle for a very comfortable finger grip right behind the blade. Double pinned to the blade for a rugged and solid knife.   The handle is an outstanding piece of gunstock tiger maple with two brass pins along with a brass lanyard hole.   The blade is acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance. I hand forge these as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from high carbon 5160 st
