It's heavy clip point blade, intended for rugged use started as a piece of high carbon 3/16" thick steel.Overall length is 8 5/8" with a 4 1/2" x 1 7/16" deep blade. The slight curve to the blade makes this an outstanding skinning knife for hunters. Added jimping along the spine for a solid thumb purchase when pressure is applied during heavy cutting.   The handle is made of reclaimed Vermont white oak barn wood with brass bolsters that has been double pinned. This wood comes from a barn in Charlotte Vermont which was several hundred years old when it came down. The grain is tight old growth wood with incredible character.   The blade is acid etched to help prevent rusting and corrosion. Which gives it a dark aged appearance.
