There is a finger indent right behind the cutting edge to aid in choking up on the blade for fine detailed work along with file work jimping on the spine for a good thumb purchase without slipping. The overall length is 8 13/16" long The contoured dark walnut handle has finger grooves for a more comfortable grip in the hand. Along with a lanyard hole and full length brass pins. Hand forged as always in my Vermont blacksmith shop. Made from high carbon 5160 steel.
